Agilos is looking for a Senior Data Engineer Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data integration or migration projects, ideally involving cloud platforms. The ideal candidate must have significant experience with at least one data integration tool such as Talend DI, Microsoft SSIS, Pentaho DI, or Informatica, and should be open to working with the Talend Data Integration or Qlik Data Integration suite.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration and migration solutions using Talend Data Integration or Qlik DI suite.

• Lead and execute complex data integration projects from diverse sources to cloud-based or on-premises target systems.

• Perform ETL processes, ensuring data quality through data profiling, cleansing, and validation.

• Optimize and scale data workflows to meet performance requirements and business SLAs.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, ensuring best practices in data engineering.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL processes, job failures, and system performance.

• Stay updated on trends and advancements in data integration technologies, especially Talend and Qlik ecosystems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data analysts, and BI developers to deliver robust data solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data integration or migration projects, with proficiency in at least one tool: Talend DI, Microsoft SSIS, Pentaho DI, or Informatica.

• Certification as a developer in one of the above-mentioned tools is preferred.

• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake).

• Experience with ETL design patterns, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud migration strategies.

• Openness to work with Talend Data Integration and/or Qlik Data Integration suite.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working in Agile or iterative development methodologies is a plus.
