Your role

You will support our customers to take control of their data and to get value out of it. This means that you work closely with business leaders and information management. You are the brains behind the modern data stack and you'll deal with both the data itself as well as loading/transforming it.

You will work on different projects and provide the right data insights to our customers.

Your challenges

In your role as Data Engineer you will:

• Apply Data Engineering best practices to provide clean, transformed data sets, that are ready for analysis.

• Combine your business skills and technical data knowledge to translate complex information into clear and helpful data sets.

• Move and transform data from the source to be analyzed and visualized easily by data analysts, data scientists and business users.

• Build systems that collect, manage and convert data into usable information for business analysts and users.

• Create datasets that allow users to understand and evaluate the information provided within the data.

• Make sure data is ingested, transformed, scheduled and ready to be used for analytics.

Your talents

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses who will make data storage and processing affordable and fast, such as Snowflake.

• Experience with data pipeline services to turn data extraction into work in a few clicks with tools such as  Fivetran, Matillion, Qlik Data Integration, ...

• Use your critical thinking skills to deliver the most efficient solution based on a possible architecture.

• Experience in working closely with all business lines to identify business needs and analytics opportunities.

• Designing data models, gathering information, writing code, maintaining data documentation, communicating results and collaborating with data team members.

• Problem-solving skills.

• A flexible, independent and collaborative attitude.

• Good knowledge of Dutch or French and English languages.
